Pavard will join Bayern Munich in the summer
Bayern Munich have announced that they have agreed a deal to sign Benjamin Pavard from Stuttgart in the summer.
The 22-year-old full-back starred for France as they won the World Cup in the summer, his stunning strike against Argentina in the round of 16 eventually being named as goal of the tournament.
Pavard has been plying his trade in Germany since 2016 when he moved to Stuttgart, who were then in the second tier, from Ligue 1 side, Lille.

Pavard has been linked with numerous clubs since his eye-catching performances in Russia, with Bayern rumoured to be interested in signing him immediately after the tournament. Though he ended up staying put, it’s now been announced that he will move to Bavaria in the summer to begin a five-year contract with the current German champions.
Bayern are currently second in the Bundesliga table and face a fight to retain their title. A rejuvenated Borussia Dortmund – with England international Jadon Sancho playing a starring role – went into the winter break with a six-point lead after their 2-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach prior to Christmas.
Bayern’s next competitive game comes on the 18 January, when they return from winter break with a game at Hoffenheim.
