Let’s be honest, it’s hard *not* to want Atletico Madrid to put one over Real Madrid in tonight’s Champions League final.
Having already watched their glamorous city rivals lift nine European Cups, Atleti came within minutes of beating Real to seal their first continental crown in Lisbon a couple of years ago. Unfortunately for them, a stoppage time Sergio Ramos header was enough to send the game to extra-time. Real won the match 4-1, sealing their tenth European crown in the process.
On Saturday night in Milan, the two sides face each other again. Having come so agonisingly close to winning club football’s biggest match in 2014, Diego Simeone’s side have the perfect opportunity to gain revenge for that night in Lisbon.
Ahead of the match at the San Siro tens of thousands of fans have been enjoying themselves in Milan’s city centre… and there’s little doubt which set of supporters were making their presence felt the most.
Gathering inside the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II – the city’s famous old enclosed shopping centre, the noise made by the Atleti fans was quite something…

The contrast between the two sets of supporters was also pretty noticeable on the Milanese underground.

Just imagine how they’ll be when kick off arrives at the San Siro this evening….
