It’s as if Joleon Lescott has been on a one-season mission to make himself the most hated man in North-East Birmingham.
The Aston Villa defender has inspired even more ire from the club’s fans just two months after tweeting out a picture of a Mercedes Benz mere minutes after losing 6-0 to Liverpool.
Lescott claimed that the picture was sent from his pocket while driving and we’d love to hear his excuse for the ill-advised comments he came out with following the confirmation of Villa’s relegation to the Championship which came after Saturday afternoon’s defeat at Old Trafford.
“Now it’s confirmed, maybe it’s a weight off the shoulders and we can give these fans what they deserve, some performances,” Lescott told BBC 5 Live.
The club may want to keep a hold of the former England international as they look to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking but we’re not so sure that the fans echo that sentiment.
Is Lescott stupid?

I can't believe that is a real quote from Lescott, but if it is? Just have no words. Get out of the club #avfc

Lescott deserves to be sacked as a Villan for that comment. Lacks any respect for people associated with the club.

I think WBA paid Joleon Lescott to go to Villa and help destroy the club.
