Arsene Wenger has told Thierry Henry to choose: Arsenal or Sky Sports.
We can’t be sure exactly how the striking legend took the news but we can only imagine.
Henry works with Arsenal’s junior sides but he has been issued an ultimatum by Arsene Wenger to either wave goodbye to his £4m-a-year Sky job, or wave goodbye to his coaching role with the Gunners.
‘Wenger has ruled that Henry can only have a coaching role with Arsenal’s academy if he devotes himself full-time and relinquishes his role as a pundit on Sky Sports,’ the Daily Mail report.
‘Wenger, 66, feels his fellow Frenchman cannot work within the club during the week and then criticise their players at the weekend.
‘Henry, who is seen as a possible future Arsenal manager, is known to be unhappy with the situation, which will lead to him having to continue his coaching requirements at another club.’
And Arsenal fans on social media, being as calm and considered as you’d expect, took the news in their stride.
More dictatorship.

More bad press.
Another PR fail by @Arsenal over Henry. Many fans already frustrated with Wenger so why not keep this story till after season started?

Wenger's total control @Arsenal is ridiculous. Henry would improve youngsters and help bring in new players. Wenger needs new ideas.

Time for a coup?
Thierry Henry should ignore the old man.
