All this time we thought PSG, Chelsea and Man City were Manchester United’s main rivals to sign Antoine Griezmann, but it turns out it was Hollywood all along.
That’s because the Atletico Madrid forward, who is heavily linked with a big-money move to Old Trafford in the summer, is starring in the one of the most highly-anticipated movies of the year – and in a leading role no less.
Being a relatively tender 25 years of age and still some way off his footballing peak hasn’t stopped Griezmann branching out into new areas as it was announced that he’ll play none other than Superman in the new lego movie.
But wait, we imagine you say, if we’re talking about the Lego Batman Movie then surely Channing Tatum is reprising his role as the caped crusader?
Well, he may be in the worldwide English language release, but not so for the French version.
Instead Griezmann will voice Clark Kent’s alter-ego in the Gallic dub of the film.
Manchester United fans will be hoping this is merely a slight dip of the toe into a movie career, rather than a new thespian bent…
