Liverpool defender and Scotland captain Andy Robertson scored a stunning opener for his side during their 2-1 win over Cyprus on Saturday.
Robertson opened the scoring after the hour mark with a thunderous strike off his left foot that rocketed inside the near post and into the back of the net.
Scotland looked set to hold on to a 1-0 win until Ioannis Kousoulos equalised in the 87th minute, however, the hosts soon restored their lead when Oliver Burke struck in the 89th minute to earn a last minute winner for Steve Clarke in his first game in charge.
Clarke takes over from Alex McLeish as Scotland boss and he has said that he’s been really impressed with the quality the national team has to offer.

“If you get the basics right and you don’t clutter the players’ minds too much with science and allow their talents to play on the pitch, hopefully that’ll be good enough to get us three points,” Clarke said.
“We’ve only spoken about qualifying out the group, we’ve spoken among ourselves about little targets, little achievements, what we need to do.
“I’m really, really impressed with the quality in the group and really surprised there has been so much negativity around the national team.
“Between now and the end of the Belgium game [on Tuesday], I will probably make more mistakes than they will and hopefully they don’t notice too many of them.”
