According to Ferguson, Pochettino is actually the best manager in the league.
Tottenham MP David Lammy regaled the Spurs Show podcast of a story about a discussion with the legendary United manager during which he revealed his admiration for Pochettino.
“I’m going to let you in to a secret,” Lemmy said. “About six weeks ago, I sat next to Alex Ferguson at a dinner in support of grassroots football abroad.
“He said to me ‘I think you guys have the best manager in the Premier League’… Alex Ferguson!
“So I think we’ve got the right guy. He’s really trained them up well. They’re young, they’re up for it and we’re going to do it.”
