The German fans were in fine voice down at the Havelock Square side of the Aviva Stadium last night.
For about 20 minutes.
After that, it looked as though they were in for a fight.
As the Irish supporters began to roar their side on – only stopping to cheer for Shane Long’s goal – their collective efforts may have turned this fan’s head.
