Paddy Barnes was understandably furious to see his friend be on the end of such a ludicrous decision.
Michael Conlan exited the Rio Games in
highly controversial circumstances.
Despite appearing to beat Vladimir Nikitin in his quarter-final bout, Conlan was deemed to have lost the fight by the judges, with the Russian being awarded a unanimous decision from the judges.
Conlan was furious about the decision, labelling then AIBA "cheats" and swearing never to fight at amateur level again.
Barnes, his close friend and two-time Olympic bronze medallist, who lost a bout at the Games last week, rubbed his finger and thumb together, the universal gesture for bribery, to the judges as the decision was announced.
Conlan's brother Jamie also made
accusations of corruption against the judges.
