Carl Frampton fans have travelled in their numbers to Manchester and, Jesus, didn’t they just make themselves heard.
The Belfast boxer is vying for Scott Quigg’s WBA belt on Saturday night as he puts his IBF title on the line in the Manchester Arena (read all you need to know here).
But the nerves are not showing and, for the pre-fight weigh-ins for the super bantamweight main event, Frampton was having fun, roared on by a boisterous crowd.
As the fighters come face to face, he blows Quigg a kiss but the English man flinches much to everyone’s amusement.
During the press conference, he was poking fun at Quigg’s last fight back in July against Alejandro Gonzalez and told the Bury native that he was “shitting himself”.
Quigg’s trainer Joe Gallagher wasn’t keeping his opinions to himself during that conference so, when the fighters came head to head again after it, Frampton told Quigg to make sure that Joe is there on Saturday night to witness his victory.
