Manny Pacquiao decides on first opponent since Floyd Mayweather loss

Trilogy complete

The beat goes on.

Amir Khan’s hopes of facing Manny Pacquiao have been dashed, once again, after ‘Pacman’ lined up a whopping bout against Timothy Bradley.

The Filipino is set to fight Bradley for the third time at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on April 9.

Paquiao has not fought since losing his mega-money bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr during the summer. Since then, he has undergone surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff he claimed impeded him in his points loss to Mayweather.

Bradley and Pacquiao have split two bouts in the past so there will be much interest in seeing the WBO champion test himself against the 37-year-old.

The fight contract has yet to be finalised but ESPN are reporting that Top Rank Promotions chairman Bob Arum has already sent Pacquiao a $2m advance from a guaranteed purse of $20m.

Pacquiao has suggested that his next fight will be the last but Arum has declared he well not sell the 2016 bout as his finalé.
