Anthony Joshua got some very good advice from Tyson Fury back in 2013

Paul Moore

AJ has since gone on to conquer the world.

Given that we’er going to have to wait at least a year to see what would arguably be the biggest British fight of all time – Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua  – the rumour mill has gone into overdrive as Joshua solidified his status as one of the world’s top heavyweights after his stunning win over Wladimir Klitschko.

Tyson Fury wasted no time in making his intentions known – in fact, this message seemed like it was sent as soon as had Joshua’s arm been raised in victory at Wembley – and after Eddie Hearn stated that the bet date for a Joshua v Fury fight would be  April 2018, it’s clear that this fight is going to happen, one way or another.

In fact, Fury’s name wasn’t far from the front of ‘AJ’s’ mind after he’d stopped Klitschko at Wembley Stadium.

“Fury, Tyson Fury, where you at baby. Come on. Is that what you want to see? I enjoy fighting, I love fighting! Tyson Fury, I know he’s been talking a lot and he wants to come back and compete – I want to give 90,000 people another chance to watch a lovely night of boxing. I just want to fight everyone. I’m really enjoying this right now.”

Not to disappoint us, Fury only raised the anticipation levels.

Right now, things seems very amicable and professional between both men as they angle for a fight that the public wants to see.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise because during an interview with Sky Sports, Fury offered Joshua some solid advice back in 2013.

Fury said: “Just listen to yourself. Don’t listen to anybody else – not one person because God forbid anything went wrong you can’t blame other people and start pointing the finger.
Always know that you’re only to blame yourself because you made that decision and whatever you do in life, never regret it. Give everything, while you can and when you can. Leave nothing behind.”
