Jerry Kiernan is always available for a phone call, even when he’s on punditry duty for RTE.
The former long-distance runner was in the RTE studios for their Olympic coverage ahead of the men’s 100m final, and Ciara Mageean’s 1500m semi-final.
Kiernan, who is the Irish runner’s coach, was speaking about her chances in the race, when his mobile phone started ringing.
Luckily for Jerry, he didn’t drop any f-bombs, despite appearing to come very, very close.
