Gary Lineker is used to mid-show mishaps.
The BBC presenter, and former England and Barcelona striker, has never been allowed to forget an unfortunate incident back in the 1990 World Cup match against Ireland.
Poor Gary wasn’t feeling the best during and, well I’m sure you know what happened next.Lineker had another mishap tonight when he managed to cut his finger on the BBC Sports Personality of the Year trophy.
Surprisingly it wasn’t because he wanted to abruptly end an interview with Lewis Hamilton, who was dressed as a member of the Amish community for some reason.

No, Lineker cut himself on the trophy during the opening minutes of the ceremony being held in Belfast, but carried on like a pro.
Unfortunately for Gary though, it’s unlikely to make people forget about that other incident.
Gary Lineker He literally bleeds for the BBC.
