Meanwhile in Australia…
Australian Rugby League Sydney Roosters have issued a statement after one of the their players, Mitchell Pearce, was caught on camera simulating a sex act on a dog and also apparently urinating on said dog at a drink-fuelled party.
Yes, you heard us.
The brief statement says the player has been reported to the NRL’s integrity unit and will also be subject to an internal investigation.
The State of Origin player was at an Australia Day party on Tuesday night and a video, obtained by Channel 9, shows him making an attempt to kiss the female host of the party before appearing to urinate on himself and her couch.
Pearce is then heard to say: “I’ll **** that dog. I don’t give a ****. I don’t have a sexuality.”
Pearce then grabs her dog and simulates a sex act.
The dog is taken away by its owner who then accuses Pearce of urinating on the dog. Pearce then grabs the dog again, resumes simulating the sex act, before the host snatches it out of his hand and orders Pearce and his mates to leave the party.
Unsurprisingly Pearce’s Wikipidia page has been quickly updated with some terrier-able jokes.
All in all it’s a very, very bizarre incident. You can watch it for yourself here.
