While the entire world is gasping at LeBron’s epic game-winner from last nights game against the Chicago Bulls, we’d like to guide you in the direction of an Irish teenager who beat the multi-millionaire to the basket by a a whole three days.
Scott O’Hannagain hit an incredible game winning three pointer for his school last weekend, as Gaelcolaiste Mhuire AG took on against Mercy Mounthawk Tralee in the Second Year ‘A’ All-Ireland League Semi-Final.
With just seconds left they trailed by 22-21 until the Corkman pulled this sensational shot out of his locker to win the game 24-22. Check out the heartbreak of the lad under the ring who can’t believe what has just happened,
Here’s LeBron’s remarkably similar effort from last night:
To make it even better it was his twin brother, and fellow Irish Under-15 international, Seamus who passed him the ball for the winner.
They qualified for the final on Friday and beat St Pat’s of Castleisland 26-22.
It’s great to see LeBron is keeping a close eye on Irish schools basketball – but we all know now who got there first.
