VIDEO: The Mountain from Game of Thrones breaks 1000-year old weight lifting record

What a beast

Yikes

When you have a competition called the ‘World’s Strongest Viking’ it tends to gain a bit of interest and you’ll have all sorts of men doing crazy things to prove their muscle mass is the best.

However Hafthor Bjornsson easily claims this year’s crown when he did something that gave us a pain in our back, our neck and pretty much everywhere else just looking at him.

For Game Of Thrones fans you’ll know him as ‘The Mountain’ and he certainly lived up to that moniker as he shifted a 640KG log, measuring 30 feet, for five steps.

If you’re wondering how heavy 640Kg is, its about the weight of an F1 car with a driver in it.

According to organisers, lifting the weight means he has broken a record that has stood for 1000 years and he’s now eyeing up a shot at the World’s Strongest Man title.

If this guy was holding a tackle bag you wouldn’t have much hope of shifting it anyway that’s for sure

Think of Hafthor the next time you’re struggling in the gym with those puny weights.
