#GorgeousGiroud was trending yesterday but imagine #NakedNadal had caught on.
It probably would’ve done too if the Spaniard wasn’t left playing into the wee hours to claim victory in the Rio Open quarter finals.
Nadal proved his fitness by coming back from a set down to see off Pablo Cuevas at 3.21am – local time. Yes, local time.
With five matches scheduled on top of each other all on centre court, the day’s play ran on for more than 14 hours. Naturally, Rafa was not happy.
“No tennis tournament should end at this time,” he said. “It’s tough for the players, but maybe worse for the fans. It’s very bad on the part of the ATP. It’s not the tournament’s fault. It was the ATP that didn’t want to reschedule a match. If it’s a Grand Slam you have a day to rest. It seems like a terrible error to me.”
Those who did hang about though were treated to the tennis pin-up dropping his shorts (Jaysus, what the hell are we writing?). We’ll let the video do the talking.

And, just to restore our manhood, here was one of his finest – yet so textbook Nadal – shots from the win.
