The World Seniors Championship is underway and Jimmy White has the shot of the tournament so far
Looking at the list of names involved in the World Seniors Snooker Championship is a little distressing. Even if the age limit now has been moved back to a very generous 40, seeing the likes of Peter Ebdon and Ken Doherty compete in a ‘Seniors’ event is just plain wrong as it makes us feel old.
Anyway, the good news from an Irish point of view is that Ken Doherty is through to today’s quarter-finals, where he will play Wales’ Darren Morgan.
The Dubliner saw off the challenge of Jimmy White last night, winning 2-0 but not before the Whirlwind produced a moment of typical genius.
