He may not have the biggest name in the world but we’ve got a feeling that nobody’s going to forget about Jack Sock any time soon.
The 23-year-old American brought stunned silence to the umpire, crowd and opponent during his Hopman Cup match with tennis great Lleyton Hewitt this week.
After a Hewitt serve was called out by the chair umpire, Sock urged Hewitt, who was trailing 4-5 in the first set, to challenge the call.
“That was in, if you want to challenge it!”
Hewitt went on to win the match 7-5, 6-4 after accepting Sock’s kindly advice but nobody could quite believe the honesty of the young man who smiled the whole way through.
