Team Ireland continued their superb start to the Special Olympics in Los Angeles last night, taking their total medal haul to four
Swimmer Sarah Jane Johnston picked up her second bronze of the Games, following up Sunday’s backstroke medal with a third-place finish in the 100m freestyle.
There was also a fourth-place ribbon for Lorraine Hession after the Galway woman delivered a personal best in her 100m freestyle event.
Elsewhere, Dundalk sprinter James Meenan set a lifetime best in the heats of the men’s 100m.
