Swiss duo Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka have reportedly patched things up after an extraordinary confrontation prompted by Federer’s wife heckling her husband’s opponent during a match.
The pair were at a crucial point in the second set of their match at the ATP Tour Finals in London last week when Mirka Federer distracted Wawrinka as he was about to receive a serve, calling him a ‘crybaby’.
The angry Wawrinka and Federer allegedly came to blows following the match, which Federer won, before settling their differences ahead of Switzerland’s Davis Cup tie with France this week, although good job by Wawrinka in getting the last word with his sly rabbit-ears gesture.
