The finish to this race might just make you soil yourself with laughter.
There’s just something about this clip that has that intangible, spur of the moment quality that some comedians spend a lifetime failing to find.
To set the scene, it’s a typical American high school track meet, and the 400 metre dash has just begun. It becomes apparent very early on into the race that the two commentators aren’t professionals. They’re more than likely students and may not be the best judges at what’s going on in the race but they more than make up for it with their immense enthusiasm.
However, it’s the dramatic end to the race that made them elevate their status to broadcasting legends. Check out the amazing footage below.
The winner of the race proved to be a little too fast as the tape at the finishing line was not set by the time he crossed it. Unfortunately, he absolutely flattened a girl who was trying desperately to get it back into position which prompted the amazing new phrase from the commentator, “wham sauced”.
He didn’t miss a beat.
