“Rough arrest” is a bit of an understatement.
The New York Police Department has come under fire after former tennis star James Blake was wrongly arrested.
An NYPD officer misidentified the American as a suspect in a fraudulent credit card ring and tackled Blake to the ground before putting him in handcuffs.
The officer was subsequently stripped of his gun and badge and Mayor Bill de Blasio and Police Commissioner William J. Bratton have since apologised to Blake for the aggressive arrest.
The NYPD released CCTV footage of the incident which was shown on US TV network ABC. You can see the clip in the tweet embedded below.
