Another tragic death has shook the cricket world
A teenage batsman in Pakistan was killed after being struck by a ball during a cricket match. According to reports, 18-year-old Zeeshan Mohammed was hit in the chest by a pitch from a fast bowler and collapsed on impact.
Doctors declared the young man dead on arrival. Police confirmed that no case was lodged after no foul play was suspected.
This is the latest freak accident to result in a loss of life during a game of cricket. Last year, Australia batsman Phillip Hughes died tragically after being involved in an accident on a cricket ground.
He collapsed after being struck by a ball during a match at the Sydney Cricket Ground. After receiving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, he was brought to hospital where he died two days after event from his injuries. He was just 25-years-old .
