Two huge rickets in seven months.
The day after Ireland won the Six Nations Grand Slam, Sports Minister Shane Ross TD met the returning heroes outside The Shelbourne Hotel.
Once inside, he grabbed Rob Kearney and Johnny Sexton for a picture and tweeted:
‘Congratulations and welcome home this evening to superstars Johnny Sexton and Dave Kearney’
You’re welcome Leo 😉

We got through the summer relatively unscathed, even with Ross promising money to our hockey heroes that had already been earmarked in the government’s sports funding budget.
Then, today, an hour after Sanita Puspure had claimed Ireland’s second gold medal of the rowing world championships, his departed were on the ball… ish.
RTE’s report on Purspure’s gold was headlined – ‘Dominant Sanita Puspure powers to world rowing gold for Ireland‘.
That must have been on the mind of Ross, or whoever crafted his congratulations message. Virgin Media’s Gavan Reilly was quick to point out that the 36-year-old is not, in fact, called Dominant Purspure.
A statement from Shane Ross, congratulating Sanita Puspure on her success at the Rowing World Championships. RTE’s headline refers to “Dominant Puspure” and Ross (or his ghostwriter) apparently thinks that’s her ACTUAL NAME pic.twitter.com/LnDabZGQrq

Oh dear, oh dear.
