If a broken ankle couldn’t slow birthday boy Ronnie O’Sullivan down, what can?
“The Rocket” recorded the 13th 147 break of his glittering snooker career en route to a dominant 6-0 victory over Matthew Selt in tonight’s UK Championship.
The world number four was well on his way to a 147 in the fifth frame but fell short, missing the 12th black.
But the four-time champion made sure to secure the £40,000 bonus for the maximum in the final frame. Not bad for a night’s work.
O’Sullivan is now the highest-ranked player left in the competition as he moves into the quarter-finals to face Anthony McGill.
