They say it’s important to release your frustration somehow
We all know the feeling. You’re excited for weeks for a big sporting encounter. Then it doesn’t go well.
In fact, it goes terribly. Who do you blame? The management and the players, obviously, but they’re often miles away and untouchable.
On what physical thing can you take out your frustration? The TV of course. This is the real conduit for your misery.
Or at least it was for these Pakistan cricket fans who went to town on their gogglebox after their humiliating defeat by rivals India in their opening game of the Cricket World Cup.
And in the irony of ironies the implement they used to bludgeon their TVs was the cricket bat [insert joke here about more accurate stroke playing than the Pakistani cricketers].
We all know that they take cricket pretty seriously in this part of the world – over one billion people tuned in worldwide to watch this match, a mind-boggling amount dwarfing the audience for almost every other ‘major’ sporting event out there.
Well it will be a little less if they meet again later in the tournament as these lads will have no TV to watch it on.
