Mo Farah is one of the most successful British Olympians ever in track events, completing the 5,000m and 10,000m double at the London games in 2012 and in Rio this year.
But some have begun to fear the worst after those victories were seemingly removed from Farah’s medal count on his official profile page on the Olympics website.
The Science of Sport’s Ross Tucker spotted an oddity on the Olympics pages for the long-distance events in 2016, where the silver and bronze medalists are listed but Farah’s name no longer appears.

There is no suggestion of any foul play on Farah’s part contributing to the changes, and some have suggested the changes could be the result of a hack.
And, while Farah’s official page lists no medals at all, the blurb below still refers to him as the gold medalist over 5,000 and 10,000 metres in both 2012 and 2016.
No one really knows what’s going on, and it could very well just be an innocent technical error, but it has left a few people scratching their heads.
And it appears as though Farah is not the only athlete whose name has disappeared from an event in which they won an Olympic medal.

Farah finished less than a second clear of the United States’ Paul Chelimo in this year’s Olympic 5,000m final, one week after edging out Kenya’s Paul Tanui over the longer distance.
