PDC World Darts world champion Luke Littler paid a visit to the D7 Youth Darts Academy in Cabra today, ahead of the Dublin leg of the darts Premier League, which takes place at the 3Arena tomorrow.
Despite being just 18-years-old, Littler has become the hottest property in the game, and has already had more success than most players achieve in their entire careers.
His visit to the academy, and the raucous reception he received, shows that not only is he the face of the sport right now, but he is deserving of it and willing to give back and help grow the game.
It was no doubt an unforgettable experience for the youngsters, and hopefully it will inspire them to success and professional careers in darts.
Recently, Luke 'The Nuke' discussed his routine when travelling for tournaments, but it is not as glamorous as some may think.
He said: "Some places, we go to Germany quite a lot.
"But usually it's hotel, food, and then you're off to the venue to play darts. We finish very late."
"Most of the time you just want to go to bed."
"The schedule is tight! So I just want to be in bed all day, but when we go out, we go and have a look around."
