Keane clinched his victory in style.
Keane Barry has won his first-ever match at the PDC World Championships. The 19-year-old from Duleek in Co. Meath is competing in the prestigious darts tournament for the third time and has finally tasted victory.
Barry recorded a thrilling 3-2 win over Royden Lam on Friday afternoon at Alexander Palace in London. The Irishman was never behind in his first-round match and showed his talent with some excellent finishes.

Barry’s opponent mounted a comeback and levelled the game at two sets apiece. But Keane held his nerve and saw out the match to book his place in the second round of the tournament.

Barry, the current World Masters Youth Champion and BDO World Youth Champion, will play Welsh player and number eight seed Jonny Clayton in the second round on Sunday.
