Andy Murray got the Scottish snot beaten out of him by the Fed Express in London this evening.
Roger Federer dispatched Murray in 56 gruesome minutes at the ATP Tour Finals to end the Scot’s involvement in the end-of-season event. The Swiss took 24 minutes to wrap up the first set and was 5-0 up in the second before Murray salvaged some pride and claimed a game.
Federer responded to take the final point, game, set and match in a convenient domino effect. The tournament has been frequented by a host of famous famous, including Pippa Middleton and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho. The Special One was far from enamored with Murray’s lacklustre surrender.
In fairness, whenever the Chelsea manager appeared on screen, the whole of the O2 seemed to be working together to boo and jeer him so no wonder the poor fella was pulling such a face.
In the night’s other match, Kei Nishikori beat David Ferrer in three sets.
