This is the best part of Twitter.
Well, sort of.
It’s the funniest side of Twitter. Well, sort of.
Joe Clarke is a K1 Kayaker for Team GB and, after Wednesday’s stunning performance in Rio, he’s an Olympic gold medalist.
Joe Clarke is also a night-shift worker in Worthing, England. However, of the two of them, this Joe Clarke has the best Twitter handle: @joeclarke.
It’s simple, no-nonsense, everyone knows how to find you.
The only problem is when someone of the same name goes and makes themselves globally renowned – not only that, but they’ve got a more difficult handle like @joeclarkek1.
Think this photo sums up how I'm feeling for making the @Olympics final!! Bring on the final 💪 @TeamGB pic.twitter.com/Yb7V14Hwko

So even though the hero teed it up, people still got confused.
Whoop whoop! @JoeClarke ! Get in there! #BringOnTheGreat #Rio2016
— Karen B (@Mistyuk11) August 10, 2016
And Joe Clarke himself was caught up in Joe Clarke euphoria/confusion.
I won! Well done @joeclarkek1 !!!!! Best namesake ever! And back in time for work!? #goodnight #Rio2016
— Joe Clarke (@joeclarke) August 10, 2016
But he tried his best to make it obvious.
it's getting close now. I hope I get Gold. #excited staff room at work is buzzing. #nightshift
— Joe Clarke (@joeclarke) August 10, 2016
This didn’t help things.

Come on Joe.
Wind picking up – just get down and in the final @joeclarke! – 15mins till the off!

We were all rooting for Joe Clarke but what about Joe Clarke?

Eventually, Joe Clarke had to intervene and put the record straight.
Guys, thank you for all of the congratulations however I am currently sitting ready to start my night shift in Worthing #mistakenidentity
— Joe Clarke (@joeclarke) August 10, 2016
At least Pinsent saw the funny side.
Ha! Bravo – well played the other Joe Clarke. https://t.co/CRIGd6ufOR

But most people were still cheering him on. The legend.
Night shift or not Worthing better paint a post box gold in your honour mate
