That’s a silver medal to add to the midweek gold.
Not bad for a few days work… and four hard years of preparation.
Katie-George Dunlevy and Eve McCrystal had another flier in Rio today but just missed out on replicating their gold medal achievements from during the week.

The pair made up for the earlier withdrawal disappointment of Damien Vereker and Sean Hahessy from the Men’s 50km Road Race. They had been leading with 5km to go before the unfortunate withdrawal.
Dunlevy and McCrystal, her pilot, were leading way before being clawed back as the race neared its exciting climax.
They had to settle for silver but it is another fantastic achievement for the nation and a Paralympics squad doing so, so well.

We are looking forward to the homecoming already.
