Gerwyn Price had the Ally Pally crowd going wild after his 124 checkout against Nathan Aspinall on Friday.
Price took the first set 3-2 off Aspinall before conceding the first leg in the second set. The Welshman then came roaring back in the second leg of the second set with a brilliant 124 checkout to take the leg and later the set winning 3-2.
This is Price’s fifth appearance at the world championships after progressing to the third round of last year’s championships where he was knocked out by current world number one Michael van Gerwen.
Meanwhile this is Aspinall’s first appearance at the world championships after previous showings at both the Players Championship and the Grand Slam of Darts.

Earlier in the day Gabriel Clemens nailed a 125 checkout with two bullseyes in the first set of his 2-1 win over Scot John Henderson on Friday.
Despite the brilliant checkout, Henderson still took the first set 3-2 before Clemens rallied in the second and third sets to win 3-2, 3-2.
