Serious lack of class from the Buffalo Sabres.
Ice hockey trade deadline counted down in its usual, harum-scarum style, on Monday, and there were late swaps all over the place.
One of the last-minute trades was of Sabres’ forward Chris Stewart to Minnesota Wild.
The NHL franchise did not bother to shill out a quarter for a quick phone-call to the Canadian. Instead, Stewart picked up his phone and found out, live on TSN, that he had been traded.
In fairness, he handled it like a pro.
