A high school game in America has never been so Hollywood.
Male and St. Xavier, two schools from Louisville, were tied 62 apiece on Friday night when Alex Cook from Male tossed up a Hail Mary on the scramble from the half-way line. And Our Lady responded in kind.
The shot is becoming known as The Miracle as Cook sank it, won the game 65-62 for Male and was absolutely mobbed by his team mates, his coaches and all of the supporters from the bleachers who could not believe what had just happened.
This… this right here is sport at its very purist. Unbelievable stuff.
