The reason we’re not quarterbacks is because we’d try this on every single play, regardless of field position or down.
Central Michigan were in the midst of a legendary comeback yesterday. After trailing Western Kentucky by 49-14 in the fourth quarter, the Chippewas decided to start playing and dragged the game back to 49-42.
Then, Central Michigan quarterback Cooper Rush hit Jesse Kroll with a gorgeous Hail Mary which led to a series of lateral passes that would make the All-Blacks salivate.
The play finished with one of the best touchdowns we’ve seen for quite some time.
With the momentum behind them, the Chippewas attempted to go for two points to steal the win but Rush could not find a receiver which gave Western Kentucky the 49-48 win.
While the glorious touchdown may have mattered little in the overall scheme of the result, we’re sure bloody happy it took place.
