Nasty
College basketball in the USA is sometimes even more intense than the action in the NBA proper, and if you are wondering why then this cheap shot by Sterling Gibbs should fill you in.
Seton Hall have been going through a bad patch recently, and that might be the reason for the frustration shown by their point guard Sterling Gibbs, who smashed his forearm into the face of Ryan Arcidiacono during the 54-80 loss in Philadelphia to the Villanova Wildcats last night
Gibbs and Arcidiacono clashed with just over four minutes left in the game, but hadn’t previously been involved in any incident during the match, which made the forearm-smash all the more shocking.
Gibbs was of course ejected for the incident but he did apologise afterwards on Twitter for his actions
My emotions get the best of me and that wasn't acceptable at all. I hope you're alright and I will face any consequences coming.

In fairness to Ryan Arcidiacono he accepted the apology afterwards too
Emotions sometimes get the best of us. heat of the moment thing. We're all good. @SterlingGibbs4
