This was an epic.

So you’re team is down 14 points twice against a recent Superbowl winning side. Don’t panic, Tom Brady to the rescue.

The New England Patriots eeked out a 35-31 win over the Ravens at Gillette Stadium in a stonewall classic to seal their place in the AFC championship game in 8 days time and in doing so recorded the franchise’s biggest ever comeback play-off victory in their history.

The Ravens went into an early 14-0 lead  and lead 28-14 at the end of the third before an incredible pass by Brady to wide receiver Julien Edman set up Danny Amendola for a TD to level it at 28 each.

Tom Brady had one of his special nights again and with a total of 3 TDs and 367 yards he set broke Joe Montana’s record for post-season touchdown passes with a new record of 46.

The end of the game saw plenty of drama too as Joe Flacco saw a last gasp attempt intercepted by a hungry Patriots defence:

The Patriots will host the AFC championship game next Sunday and will face either the Indianapolis Colts or Denver Broncos.
