These type of scores usually only happen in films.
Monta Ellis of the Dallas Mavericks was in action against his former team the Milwaukee Bucks tonight in the NBA.
With just seconds left on the clock and the score level at 105 each, Ellis decided to take on the responsibility and win the game for his team.
He was forced out to edge of the key and as he spun to his left faded away from the hoop to arc an amazing shot against the buzzer to win the game and be an instant hero.
We say it took serious cahones to take it on and if he tried it a million more times he probably wouldn’t make it. It still makes for a pretty incredible shot and the commentary also adds to the sense of having seen something truly special:
Ellis has a reputation of hitting impossible shots but it might be a while before he throws anything quite as dramatic as this again.
