The 36-year-old still has it and was too hot for Toronto Raptors to handle

Kobe Bryant became the first player in the history of the NBA to surpass the 6,000 assists and 30,000-point mark as he guided the LA Lakers to a 129-122 win over the Raptors.

Bryant went into the home stand needing nine assists to reach 6,000 in his professional career. He duly picked up the nine and added one extra, for good measure. He also top-scored for his team with 31 points and contributed 12 rebounds in a winning cause.

The 6,000 assists are several hundred clear of basketball greats such as Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone.

Here are a couple of Bryant’s highlights in a land-mark game.

A delightful no-look pass to Carlos Boozer.
