Ice hockey star loses part of ear, plays on anyway, scores winner

Kevin Klein needed 13 stitches to reattach ear

We’ve heard of ice hockey players losing teeth and playing on, but this is a whole new level of bravery/madness.

New York Rangers star Kevin Klein had part of his ear severed off during Sunday night’s game by the high stick of Pittsburgh Penguins man Zach Sill.

Klein required 13 stitches to reattach the missing piece of ear, yet still managed to return to the ice, where he drilled in an overtime winner.
