American media having an absolute field day
You can have Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and all your LeBron Jameses. It still seems nobody moves the needle in American sport quite like Tim Tebow.
The former Denver Broncos quarterback, who also had spells at New England and the New York Jets, has signed for the Philadelphia Eagles in the most publicised deal for a potential third-string player in NFL history.
Tebow, who had a triumphant college career at the University of Florida and spent last year as a television pundit, has not been able to master the professional game and it would be a major surprise if he made the Eagles’ final roster, let alone actually got onto the field.
The move was widely ridiculed on Twitter:
There has never been a human being with more lives than Tim Tebow.
Cats look at Tim Tebow and go… dayum.
