We’re hoping this isn’t a craze that catches on with GAA managers.
When I did a J1 in Philadelphia back in 2011, Cliff Lee was a bit of a God.
The Phillies were one of the hottest teams in baseball at the time, and Lee’s pitching was one of the main reasons.
But in the last few years, things have gone sour, and the Phillies enter the season as one of the no hopers, or as they say in America, “rebuilding”.
There’s a lot of talk that Lee is looking for a trade out of the City of Brotherly Love, and in a bid to lighten the mood at a recent press conference, he decided to leave his answers up to the Gods, and used a magic 8 ball for his questions.
And if the ball’s answers are to be held accountable, Phillies’ fans can rest easy.
