It’s the moment prop forwards dream of.
They’ll always tell you that destroying someone in a scrum is the ultimate thrill, but that’s just waffle.
The real dream that front rows have is to someday find themselves in a situation where they’re lining up the match winning drop goal.
Adam Jones infamously had a pop at one against Munster this season, and while it didn’t *quite* reach the target, his technique was absolutely spot on-ish.
So the Cardiff prop has gone to the training ground with a bag of balls, and has given us the definitive dropgoal masterclass.
While Jones was pretty good, his video is inspiring us to dig out footage of Australian prop Matt Dunning, who seamlessly slotted a dropgoal by mistake in a crucial Super rugby game some years back.
With his side needing a bonus point, Dunning decided to swing a leg at the ball when his side got an advantage, expecting to miss it and win the penalty.
But to his dismay of Dunning, his teammates and the crowd, it split the posts.
The reaction is priceless.
