Manchester United supporter must be praying that they won’t have to experience that type of nausea next season with Paul Pogba. Reports today suggest he could be returning to the north west, but not to life at Old Trafford. According to the Daily Express the Juventus midfielder, who has been in incredible form since his departure from the Premier League, is being lined up as a long term replacement for Yaya Toure.

Pogba would cost over €50million but that’s not going to be a problem at the Ethiad, and the decison to let the France international leave in 2012 is seen as one of the biggest mistakes of the latter part of Alex Ferguson’s career.

It could be about to get a whole lot worse if he lines out in blue next season just across town.

Staying with Manchester clubs and United themselves are already eyeing up possible replacements for David de Gea if Real Madrid make an expected bid for the netminder in the summer. The Spain international is seen as the natural replacement for Iker Casillas, but United won’t let him depart without signing adequate cover.

According to the Sunday Mirror Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris could be about to make a move, especially if Tottenham fail in their bid for Champions League football next season

Moving to matters at the other end of the pitch and Liverpool’s bid to sign Danny Ings for nothing in the summer could be about to hit a major snag.

The Reds were hoping to snap up the England man for a bargain in January but eventually decided not to spend €5million when he is a free agent at the end of the season. However according to today’s Sunday Times ,Burnley will demand a fee of €8million by tribunal, because he is under 24, and the clubs so far have not agreed a deal for the striker.

Chelsea previously paid a similar fee to Manchester City for Daniel Sturridge in 2010

Burnley v Aston Villa - Premier League

Alex Song has revived his career somewhat at West Ham after a frustrating spell at Barcelona, and now it seems that working under the man known as ‘Allardici’ has convinced him to stay at Upton Park.

According to The Observer the midfielder wants to stay with the Hammers after his loan deal from Camp Nou ends, because he likes the lifestyle in London.

The Cameroon international is still only 27 and has been a key part of the club’s good form so far this season.
