So who’s on red alert now?
Liverpool? Villa? Chicago Fire?
Javier Hernandez already knows he won’t be welcome back at United but it looks increasingly like Carlo Ancelotti has no real time for him either.
The Mexican was given just half an hour against Juventus despite his quarter final goal sending the champions into that semi final tie with the Italians.
And he expressed his disappointment at being thrown back in the dugout to pave the way for Gareth Bale’s return.
“You have to respect all decisions, even being benched,” he told Spanish broadcaster, TVE. “I must stay professional. I’ll always be… Look, a benched player is not a happy player.”
And Chicharito described an unhappy mood in the changing room as a whole.
“The mood is negative as we lost, but we fought until the end,” he added. “We just have to win 1-0 and we’d be through to the final. We have to take it on the chin and learn from this for the second leg.
“The coach asked us to play with the same attitude we’re showing in La Liga. But it’s a game of two teams, and they had the home advantage and plenty of additional motivation to win.
“Tomorrow we’ll have to digest this defeat and think about the next Liga game against Valencia.”
And I’ll have to think about where I’ll be playing next season…
