Rafael Nadal retires from tennis aged 38

Goodbye to a legend.

Rafael Nada has officially retired from tennis aged 38.

The Spanish tennis legend announced the news today on social media, posting a video to X captioned thank you to all.

In the video he explained he is retiring from the sport as his body can no longer keep up with the sport.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time, Nadal won 22 grand slams, mostly across clay, making Roland Garros his fortress.

Born in Mallorca, the tennis player is a legend in his native Spain and around the world.
