Debated raged online recently over Gearóid Hegarty's beautiful chipped goal against Waterford in the Munster SHC on Sunday, with his finish completely fooling the falling Billy Nolan.
However, due to the unusual ball flight and softness of the shot, many believed it was a fortunate miss-hit from the Treaty star.
On the other hand, such is Hegarty's talent and reputation that some believed he meant it.
The man himself has now cleared up any confusion, and, alas, it was indeed a lucky shot.
In quotes from the Irish Examiner, Hegarty said: "Sometimes you can nail the strike perfectly and the goalie will pull off a brilliant save. But sometimes the bad ones are the ones that go in because they don't expect it.
“I probably couldn't have mishit it any worse but, as I said, sometimes they're the ones that end up finding their way into the back of the net."
